My mother will tell you that I've been 'a little actress' all my life! However, it was not until high school that I began to pursue my passion. After landing the leads in a few school plays I went on to perform at the state thespian convention in a Midsummer Night's Dream as Helena. Then I did a few shows with local community theatres including "Annie" and "Darius the Dragon" in which I played the villan. For many reasons this was one of my favorite roles, mostly because it was such a stretch for a 17-year-old. My character was an older Man on the brink of retirement. I often had mixed emotions however, when people told me they had no idea I was a girl! I've also competed in the National Forensics League (speech and debate)earning many different awards most notably I was the all-conference league champion, and the Colorado state champion for interpretation of poetry. The piece I performed was a selection of Rohld Dahl's Revolting Rhymes. I enjoyed this piece because it required me to perform 11 distinct characters and voices in the space of ten minuets. It was these achievements and others that helped me land the Ambassador Scholarship at Cornell College, the largest theater scholarship that they offered. During College I dabbled in a few different shows and productions but I mostly took a break in order to be certain that theater was something I loved and not just an escape. During that time I worked on a degree in psychology and french. After 3 years at Cornell I began to get tired of the small school scene. I transferred to Cu Boulder and I have been going to school part-time while working on local film and T.V. projects. I started as an assistant to producer in the feature 'Text' and as got to know the producers better they expanded my role to music supervisor and they even gave me a part in the film. Now I am working on the local t.v. show 'Colorado X-Case Files' (coloradoxcasefiles.com) as the executive producer and as an actress. I thoroughly enjoy being involved in different aspects of production. After I complete my degree it is my intention to move to LA and further pursue my acting career. However I am open to being involved in other ways as well.
