Having planned and schemed secretly for a couple months on this project, graduation was quickly approaching a.k.a the time I had to tell my parents what I was planning on doing with my life. I was very nervous because I knew they would not care for this plan at all. Their baby girl was gonna run off with some bearded hooligan with half-baked dreams of becoming a Hollywood film producer and “abandoning her career” as a clinical laboratory scientist that she spent 5 1/2 years pursuing. I was sure there would be lots of tears from the mom and insults flying from the dad all coated with concern and guilt. In the end though, there was no getting around it. If I was really gonna do this, I had to tell them sometime.

I know, I know. You’re just dying to be friends with us because we’re so totally awesome. Well now you can be! Lucky you! Ok so that’s really not the point of the “Friends of the Tour” program because if you’re reading this we already consider you a friend so you can just calm down. However you can be an official Friend of the Tour and help us make the Two-week Turnaround Tour a success.

This past weekend Filmblazer visited Wilmington to prepare for the Two-week Turnaround Tour, meeting with interested individuals and scoping out the town. Unexpectedly, Wilmington presented us with a number of challenges that could make the first T3 film extremely difficult. This forced us to examine the possibility of changing the first city on the tour.

We’ve put together a list of 14 things we want to to do on the tour with a semi-logical explanation of why we want to do them and how we plan on accomplishing them. When I first agreed to this ridiculous plan that Josh concocted back in August, he talked to me nonstop about computer stuff I just really didn’t understand and never had much interest in. Sometimes, it’s pretty cute, though, when he tries to explain things to me. He really likes science metaphors because he knows I know science, however he does not know science...I think you get where this is going. Most of the time though, it’s incredibly annoying and patronizing.

I didn't know what to expect as the triangletweetup was my first ever tweetup. I was going solo due to @clearlyjamie working and @annienels being sick.

Over the weekend, we went to BarCamp Charlotte. We had no idea what it was or how it would go. It turned out to be better than we could ever have expected.
