Ok here we go - Filmblazer Weekly Episode 6: My Name's Jack!
Has it really been a month since our last podcast? Indeed it has fellow Filmblazers. We actually recorded this podcast when our intrepid duo was in San Francisco but alas, as life always gets the better of us, it has taken a while to edit. But go easy on the podcast editor, after all, the Shreveport movie isn't even up on the website yet. And the premiere was 2 months ago! Is it even finished yet? No one knows for sure.
The San Francisco writing team got a little out of hand in the last writer's meeting coming up with ideas like an iphone app for "brain raping". This is what happens when Josh doesn't get any sleep.
We had a helluva time getting from Albuquerque to San Francisco. It seemed like every event on the trip alternated between being really awesome and approaching catastrophic. Here's an hour by hour account of our epic journey.
When we left for our big adventure, we had a pretty clear vision of what we thought T3 would be. Now in our 6th city of the Two-week Turnaround Tour, we have taken so many unexpected turns and experienced things that we could never have imagined would happen. Here are 14 of our favorite unexpected moments so far:
After the kick-off, we got the writers together to hash out the script. Ideas from the after-life to the Mayan Calendar to alternate realities were tossed around until one was settled on: Space (as in outerspace... as in aliens and spaceships and galactic travels). Apparently we learned nothing from the last 4 cities and exactly what 2 weeks means for making a movie. There was no talking Josh out of it. He had Tony Anderson and Diego Romero behind him, promising to do all the visual effects and 3D modeling a space movie would demand. He would have his space movie.
Today we are very pleased to bring you episode number 5 of our podcast.
Give it a listen, if you will, and we'll tell you all there is to know about T3 Austin, from the tweetups to the kickoff to the premiere. We'll tell you of Jamie's concussion, Josh's obsession with cases, the bats, Gigantasaurus, how to teach a corporation a lesson. And if the pooportunity presents itself, we will serenade you with a few ballads.
And please forgive us if we stray off topic, as we sometimes do, rambling can be too tempting.

We went to Austin with every intention of making one movie, but after filming the first one, we insanely decided to make two! Suddenly "Double Murder" was born, a Hitchcock inspired double short featuring "At Sixes and Sevens" and "Villa of Pride". We had a great time in Austin and really appreciated the dedication to the project, especially David J. Neff and Chris Owens who helped carry the Kessler Crane at least half a mile straight down into the rivine and back up again just to get the perfect crane shot. Watch "Double Murder" here.
T3 Albuquerque kicked off with a bang on June 2nd at Studio Broadway. Studio Broadway is a really cool art space with a glass blowing studio in the back. Michael Palombo hooked us up with spot and is our City Leader in Albuquerque. Michael runs Fans of Film, a ning network striving to help aspiring filmmakers distribute their films and build relationships within the community.
Enjoy this never before seen footage from the elusive T3 Shreveport film "Never Left the Building". Be there for the whole process: the kick-off, writing at Jeff and Amber's, location scouting, the wink heard around the world, and the green screen marathon. Just a little something to hold you over until the big show.
